A full description of this book can be read below.
Das Buch "THE COMPLETE GUIDE TO THE GOLF YIPS & MORE" über die Golf-Yips und das richtige mentale Denken für das kurze Spiel wurde veröffentlicht und ist ab sofort bie Amazon als Kindle und Buch erhältlich.
This book has been described as different, realistic, direct and the most comprehensive and informative book ever written about the golf yips and the mental side of playing golf. The word “More” was added to the title because this book also covers a lot of other topics associated with playing golf and some of the goings-on at golf clubs that have never been written about before.
Its content includes illustrations and pictures, humour, stories, quotes, causes, cures, tips and it is instructional. Anybody reading this book will learn everything they need to know about the golf yips, the correct mentality to playing golf and a lot more including “The Secrets of Playing Golf” and “How to Generate Power in the Golf Swing.” Even if you are not a yips sufferer everybody will discover tips in this book that will help their golf.
This book took several years to write, it has 244 pages, 38 chapters and over 51000 words. There are 128 colour and black & white pictures, some very old which do, unfortunately, add a lot to the price. Those who have read it have said it has a huge amount of content, everything written is true and is a very good read.
Seldom can something be achieved without the help of others and this was no exception. A sincere thanks go out to my son Peter Higgins, Jan Gerka, Tom Johnson and Graham West for their help with the photographs and the editing. Also, to Barry Forey for his help with the photographs and the time he spent proofreading and to my wife Victoria and daughter Francesca for their opinions and suggestions.
I would also like to show my appreciation and thank Mr Jack Nicklaus and the Fincher Files for allowing me to use their rare photographs.
LOOK INSIDE is available on Amazon and its chapter contents can be viewed on the Yips page of this website, with taster samples to follow posted on social media.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A great read, really enjoyed the book.

This is a must have book for anyone that has suffered from the chipping Yips playing golf. Tony’s understanding of the issues can only be described by someone that has suffered from the problems themselves. Having suffered from the chipping yips myself and having so many golf pros assuring me they could cure me, this book is a better option than any lesson from a golf club pro.
I would recommend anyone to buy the book and try Tony’s methods. It worked for me after years of suffering with problems. You might even enjoy playing golf again.
It’s great value.

Lots of content and tips with some nice pictures.
A very detailed and comprehensive book and the author is clearly highly experienced. I learnt a lot from this book, it has sent me in a positive direction with a much clearer understanding of golf and the yips.
Humorous, very interesting and a good read.

It's a thoroughly enjoyable read and really quite informative. I got the book as a gift for my brother who's recently started to play golf as well and he's been racing through it.
There are some great tips in there that I’ve been able to use myself and the style makes it a genuinely fun read too.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very interesting and different with some amusing stories.

A really good book about the golf yips that also covers a lot of other topics about golf. If you can't cure the yips after reading this you never will, well written with a lot of information.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An interesting book that tries to help golfers with the dreaded yips.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 December 2022
This is an unusually different book about a taboo subject in golf. Many millions of golfers are unaware of the yips. Unfortunately, many 1000s of golfers are inflicted with the affliction that can affect their enjoyment of playing the game to such a degree they give up. I found the book very helpful and informative. The author has a very direct, no-nonsense approach of writing and lays out his plans very clearly on how to combat this golfing problem that most golfers don’t want to talk about or discuss. He has added other interesting chapters to the book. Very easy to read. I believe golfers who own up and admit to having the yips, will benefit greatly from this book.

THE GOLF SWING
The golf swing has never changed neither has the technique it never will and there is no such thing as a modern day golf swing. However, modern technology like fast cameras and TrackMan has made the learning, improvement and correction process quicker and easier.
Above is a picture of Brooks Koepka born in 1990 and Jim Barnes who won 9 major titles and was born in 1886. These pictures were taken about 100 years apart and comparing the positions they are both in they are nearly identical.
Above is a picture of Sam Snead and Tiger Woods who were born 63 years apart. Looking at the photos and their positions they too are nearly identical, which proves that the difference between old school and new school is only the clothes they wore.
Above is a picture of Chic Herbert one of the longest hitters of the 1940's and Jamie Sadowski one of the longest hitters of modern times. Photos taken about 70 years apart, note how far the upper body has moved to behind the ball taking the left heel off the ground. These are 2 very powerful backswings and difficult to see the difference between them, Sadowski I believe is a the top of his backswing and Herbert is nearly there.
Ben Hogan one of the best ball strikers that ever lived, level eyes and ears showing great balance.
A rare picture of Ben Hogan before impact, at impact and after impact.
Nice picture of Francis Ouimet who won the US Open in 1913 as an amateur at The Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts defeating Harry Vardon and Ted Ray in a playoff.
This is a great position, note the lag, left wrist position and not a lot of movement in the hips and legs.
A film of his life called “The Greatest Game Ever Played” was undoubtedly the best golf film ever made and a true story. Above is a picture of Francis Ouimet and his famous caddy Eddie Lowery.

A classic and timeless golf swing will quite often have some similarities to the modern day swing, one being the position at impact and sometimes the top of the backswing position, however there are still many different ways to hit the fairway.
What has grown through the years are the different ways the golf swing is explained and interpreted with many top teachers using their self invented drills, words and ways of teaching. But an experienced golf instructor can always be identified as somebody who can explain something in more than one way.
Not much has changed.
THE EVOLUTION OF THE
MODERN GOLF SWING.
Absolutely nothing has changed in 700 years except the amount of BS teachers that have been added to the simple instruction we were first introduced to, which worked then and works now.
It’s still quite a simple game to learn, the only difficulty is trying to master it.
Ben Hogan
Creating a lot of lag and a very
powerful golf swing.
Fred Couples
Renowned for his power and rhythm.
Ernie Els
Is known as the "Big Easy" for what looks like an effortless swing.
Rory Mcllroy
The most successful British golfer of the modern era.
Due to the ever increasing modern day advanced technology, golf equipment and the condition of golf courses, the quality of golf being played has improved and with golfers hitting the ball a lot further golf courses have been designed or made longer.
